Frequently asked questions
Do I need a visa for Cambodia?
Most visitors from outside Southeast Asia do, including UK, US, Australian and Canadian passport holders. The usual options are the e-visa (about US$30 plus a processing fee) or a visa on arrival at the international airports. Both give a 30-day stay.
Can I extend a Cambodia tourist visa?
A tourist (T-class) visa can be extended once, by 30 days. For longer stays, people enter on an ordinary (E-class) visa, which can be extended for months at a time.
Can I enter Cambodia overland from Thailand?
Not at the time of writing. The Thailand–Cambodia land borders have been closed to travellers since June 2025, with no reopening date announced.
